Our Story

How Bodhi Legal came to be

Bodhi Legal was established in Bangkok with a singular focus: to provide individuals navigating Thailand's pension system with the quality of legal attention that such matters deserve. The name draws from the Bodhi tree — a symbol of careful thought, shelter, and the patience required for meaningful outcomes. These qualities guide how the firm approaches its work.

The founding partners observed that individuals disputing pension decisions often found themselves without adequate representation. Larger firms tended to route these matters to junior associates; smaller practitioners lacked the administrative law depth the proceedings required. Bodhi Legal was formed to fill that gap with senior-led, focused counsel.

The firm operates from Wireless Road in Bangkok's Lumpini district, a location that places the team close to the administrative bodies and ministries relevant to pension proceedings. The physical office is also a practical matter: pension cases frequently require the collection, authentication, and submission of original documents, and proximity to key institutions matters.

Our mission is not to maximise caseload, but to handle each matter with the care it requires. We take on a considered number of files so that each client receives genuine attention — not correspondence from an overloaded inbox. If a matter falls outside our scope, we say so clearly rather than accept work we cannot properly serve.

All counsel are registered members of the Lawyers Council of Thailand and maintain continuing professional development in administrative and pension law.

Senior Review Protocol

Every document submitted on a client's behalf is reviewed by senior counsel before it leaves the office, regardless of the service tier.

Data Protection

Client records are handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562. We apply documented data retention policies and restrict access to authorised personnel only.

Communication Commitments

Clients in ongoing engagements receive scheduled written updates. We respond to queries within one working day during normal office hours.

Conflict of Interest Policy

We conduct a conflict check before accepting any new matter. Where a conflict exists, we decline the instruction and assist the client in finding alternative representation.

Transparent Fee Agreements

All fees and potential disbursements are set out in a written engagement letter before work begins. No cost is incurred without the client's prior knowledge and written confirmation.

Our Values & Expertise

Legal representation built on honesty and care

Pension proceedings in Thailand require a precise understanding of administrative law, an ability to navigate the procedural requirements of regulatory bodies, and a patient approach to what are often lengthy processes. Bodhi Legal has developed its practice specifically around these demands. Our counsel hold working knowledge of the Government Pension Fund regulations, Social Security Act provisions, and the administrative review procedures applicable to both public and private sector pension matters.

We do not present our services as a path to outcomes we cannot substantiate. Pension cases are shaped by the facts of each individual situation, and honest advice about the realistic scope of any proceeding is more useful to a client than confident assertions about results. We believe the legal profession serves people best when it speaks plainly about what the law allows and what the process requires.

Bodhi Legal is a small, focused practice by design. Keeping our caseload manageable allows us to maintain the standard of attention each file deserves — a consideration we regard as essential rather than optional. Clients come to us, in many cases, after a difficult interaction with an administrative system. They deserve counsel that treats their matter seriously, explains it clearly, and stays engaged throughout.
